Please tell me on which free hosting sites I can run asp file. I have used 110mb.com for running an asp file but instead of opening the files it shows the code in the browser. Please help me if there is any way to make it run?

Which Linux/Unix OS is best for hosting a web server?

I am going to host my own website from my home, and i would like to use a Linux/Unix Operating system to do this.

Or course it will be a L.A.M.P. server (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)?

Or is there any other type of software bundles which is best for webserver?

Where as Linux is free, and I have some skill with Linux systems already.

Any Suggestions on which Linux/Unix OS is best to host a website?

hi i juz bought my toshiba notebook and it has windows vista premium..when i try to open video files it continously gives this error message…:windows host process(Rundll32)has stopped working” and after seeking help from the net i uninstall the k-lite codec pack and then error message is no longer appeared but then i couldnt see any video files specially AVI format….and some has said to rename a file in system32 folder but i couldnt find that file there..pls if anyone can help me i would be really grateful….im dying to watch a film in my new notebook…pls help me……..thanx

I have set up that windows host file thing to block ads, but is there a way to redirect them to about:blank or empty white… rather than the IE error page…
I have that, Just more comfortable with IE (I use avantbrowser that has a similar Adblock feature built in)

But here i am particular with hosts files…
