I need to find a reliable web hosting site that could cater to the needs of a large scale information sharing website. My requirements are easy access to placing ads on my website, large data storage, and multifaceted media capabilities. Also, any website development sites would be nice to know.

I’m graduated in computer science and do IT jobs for some 5 years now. I’m gonna immigrate to Australia in a year. living prices are kinda high though there are good job opportunities there, but I couldn’t find out how much do they pay monthly. how much should I expect to be payed for IT jobs (I do Linux administration stuff in a web hosting company).
thanks for your help.

I want to host my own internet radio station on my website. Is it legal to broadcast my music onto my website with Windows Media Encoder?

My hosting company set “ns2.myhostingcompany.com” as primery DNS to my website. Is it correct? (Now, my control panel shows as below:
Primary: ns2.myhostingcompany.com
Secondary: ns1.myhostingcompany.com)

Or Do I change ns2 as Secondary (as shown below)?
Primary: ns1.myhostingcompany.com
Secondary: ns2.myhostingcompany.com

many advised that the above format is correct and to change it.

Changing or not changing will affect my site’s performance/speed…..?

For your reference:
My site is under-construction. (And I hope a million visitors will visit.)
My web hosting account has unlimited bandwidth and storage.
It is dedicated.
I planned to host many sites with it.

I’m confused. Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

I have a local test server running Apache2 with virtual hosting setup correctly. I’d like to set up a system so that *.dev is redirected to my testing server at 192.168.0.4

I know I can do this for each individual site using the hosts file found in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
Unfortunately the Windows hosts file doesn’t work with wildcards!

I don’t have a dedicated local DNS server, but I’d like a system that redirects *.dev to my server without the need to open and edit the Windows hosts file every time.

Do you know how this can be achieved?

Thanks in advance.
