I’ve been thinking a lot recently about starting up a blog. I’d like to write a little bit in my spare time and see if I can build it up into something that is really impressive, something that I can maybe monetise in the future. I’ve got to be honest and say that I am by no means an expert in my chosen subject – in fact it’s quite a deliberate ploy. I am going to write my blog on website hosting!
There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, I know that hosting is an important issue to a lot of people out there, and there are new sites being built every day, so people are going to need to know about hosting and people are always looking for web site developers .If I write a good blog and keep it nicely updated, I should be able to eventually generate a good amount of traffic through the blog, and eventually make some money through the site, perhaps with affiliate links of straight forward banner or button advertising. The other reason I’d like to focus on hosting, or more specifically, something that I am no expert on, is because I will be able to learn and stay interested, and it will be a great site for anyone like me, who wants to start from scratch and learn gradually. Eventually, from my first post to my last, there should be a nice sliding scale of information starting from the very basic, and leading to the more technical side of things.
Of course, starting a blog is a gamble and you never know how popular you might be, but one thing I do know is I’ll see it out to the end. I’ll work on this thing every day of the week until I’ve done something that I am proud of.
